Pinolith

Pinolith

Pinolith is a rare semi-precious stone. It gets its name from the magnesite
inclusions that look like white kernels or pinecones. It is only found in one
place in the world, which is a magnesite deposit located in Lower Tauern, a
mountain range of the Central Eastern Alps in Austria. Pinolith was
discovered in 1873 and mined during World War II because of its high
manganese level. Manganese is a critical component in iron and steel
production.
The metaphysical properties of Pinolith include optimism and balance. It
provides a soothing, calming effect, improving self-esteem while
establishing equilibrium between emotions and intellect. It also promotes
creativity and imagination by getting rid of negativity and encouraging a
clear mind for positive visualization. Practitioners use Pinolith to reach the
highest state of meditation and use it to help with relaxation.
Pinolith activates the crown chakra and opens the heart chakra to sincere
love. It also conducts energies that turn on the third eye. Pinolith is aligned
with the astrological sign Aries.
Since Pinolith contains magnesite it is easily scratched. Make sure to take
care when cleaning and storing your stone. The best way to clean it is
using water and a soft cloth. The easiest way to protect it is by storing it in
a drawstring bag. It is not recommended to use ultrasonic and steam
cleaning on Pinolith.
