Magical Uses: Love, Money, Luck, Courage, Strength, Wishes
The tonka tree is native to Central America and northern South America and has been used medicinally, magically, and culinarily since ancient times. The introduction of this fragrant fruit to Europe lead tonka beans to be a beloved component in perfume making. By the 1940s the tonka bean was replaced by the synthetic scent and today is mostly used magically, and culinarily.
Use tonka beans in sachets for love, money, luck, courage, strength, and wishes. Add this bean (crushed) to a bath for love, luck, courage and strengths. To use a tonka bean for wishing, hold it in your dominant hand and envision the outcome or wish; afterword throw the bean into moving water like a stream or river.
