The Fortune or laughing Buddha is known for bringing good luck, happiness, and prosperity in people’s lives. Rub his belly or head for a little extra luck. Gautama Buddha lived who lived in ancient India (Around 4BC-6BC) is regarded as the founder of Buddhism. He achieved enlightenment and taught for around 45 years building the foundations of his monastic tradition that exists today. Born into an aristocratic family he eventually rejected that life and spent several years as a beggar meditating and he understood what trapped people in the cycle of rebirth. This became the basis of his teachings and enlightenment.
