Demeter Greek Goddess of Agriculture

Demeter is the ancient Greek Goddess of agriculture, grain, and the seasons.  One of the original twelve Olympians she causes winter and the season changes due to her grief that her daughter Persephone has to spend one-third of the year with her husband Hades in the Underworld.
