Magical Uses: Protection
The chrysanthemum was first cultivated in China as a flowering herb and is described in writings as early as the 15th Century BC. The flower traveled to the Western world during the 17th century and soon adopted an association with death, and is still used as a funerary flower today.
Carry chrysanthemum in a sachet, or powder and burn as an incense, for protection.
