Aphrodite is the goddess of love, beauty, and sexuality and has been beloved since ancient times. She is depicted most often as a beautiful, often nude, woman. Aphrodite enjoys offerings of roses, apples, myrrh, seashells, and moonstone. The worship of Aphrodite is seemingly of eastern origin, introduced to the islands of Cyprus, Cythera, from where it spread all over Greece.
