Osha Root is Native to the southwestern United States and has been used both medicinally and magically. Sometime in prehistory Native Americans observed bears digging up the plant and chewing on the roots, this observation gave it the nickname “bear’s medicine.”  These bears were observed to be more amorous after consuming the root and it was long thought to be an aphrodisiac.

Use osha root in sachets for luck, protection, healing, and strength. Burned as incense, this root is used for luck, protection, purification, and strength. It is said that osha root placed in a bowl of water would draw the negativity from the space. Add osha root to a bath or tea for protection, healing, purification, and strength.
