Fir is one of the nine sacred woods burned in the Beltane fire which includes Apple, Birch, Oak, Rowan, Hawthorn, Hazel, Willow, and Vine.  The Fir Tree encourages you to stand in your own power, solidly rooted in your legs like tree trunks.

Using Balsam needles in sachets draws prosperity and protection. Powder fir needles for use in grounding, protection, purification, and prosperity incenses. One can also boil the Balsam Fir Needles in a pot of water to lift the energies of the space and remove negativity. Tea made from fir needles is very high in Vitamin C and can help purify one’s self and draw prosperity and protection.
