I was experimenting with ways of depicting energy through rougher textures.

This painting was named Pachamama by Rivette Marchand, who incorporated her as the patron Goddess of Pachamama’s, a (very popular) coffeehouse based in Nassau Bay, Texas for a few years in the 2000s.

Pachamama (or Pacha Mama) was and is a powerful, versatile and benevolent personification of the World Mother, or Nature herself. Though she is a fertility Goddess presiding over the cycles of planting and harvest, she also causes earthquakes and can appear in the form of a dragon. Like the Hindu Kali, who is also terrible and beautiful, Pachamama is the Goddess of Time.

Please note: any orders placed on Friday evenings, holidays, or weekends will be shipped on the next business day.
