MOON GODDESS TREE OF LIFE
The three formed or triple moon goddess represents the stages of the moon and the Maiden, Mother, and Crone archetypes. The modern form of the triple goddess has history in European pagan religions, some African traditions, and in Hindu traditions. The different forms of the goddess reflect the different parts of a woman’s life as well as the powers associated with each time. The maiden (waxing moon) is the first form the goddess takes representing innocence, youth, and rebirth. The mother (full moon) aspect embodies fertility, creation, and light. The crone (waxing moon), often represented by an older woman, is the aspect that brings wisdom, clarity, destruction (to foster rebirth), and maturity.
